Ok, so I'm here at Blogger.com for one reason. My hosting company ( hostingrevolution.com) decided to close it's doors after 9 or so years of acting like everything was just fine. In a manner I can only describe as extreme cowardice, the business owner vaporized on September 22nd 2011. So I, along with hundreds of other customers (such as mythbustersfanclub.com) are left high and dry with no warning.
I have the same feeling about web hosting now that I do about getting out of bed at 6:00AM on Saturday.
So, I am now left feeling a little directionless and also struggling with the decision to continue having a ".com" web presence of just taking this as a sign that I was being dumb and wasting my money on a vanity website (IE; pwillard.com).
Getting burned by bad business practices and poor customer support really takes the wind out of my sails. I barely want to start to fix the situation of losing www.railsimstuff.com (My artistic outlet) and www.pwillard.com, where I mostly blogged about Arduino related activities.
I figured I still had a few things to say... so why not blog some more? Of course, now that blogging is no longer cool it seems just the thing.
